Respiratory Therapists practise as members of a multi-disciplinary team in accordance with the Regulated Health Professions Act, the Public Hospitals Act, and the Standards set by the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario (CRTO). The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for the scientific application of techniques and procedures to assist the physician and other health care providers in the safe and effective diagnosis, treatment and promotion of the well being of patients with respiratory and other related disorders.
